This was the final episode of 'How I Met Your Mother' ever and I have super mixed feelings about it. So basically to sum it all up *HUGE SPOILER* Ted winds up with Robin *SPOILERS OVER*. But first it takes us on the path to getting Robin, which in a way was what I wanted. Not the path to getting Robin, but the years of Ted and the Mother's lives playing out. Along the way there were a few bumps, such as Lily and Marshall's third kid, Barney's kid, and Barney and Robin's divorce. The episode started to lose me when the revealed that Barney and Robin divorced, as it essentially negated this whole season. There was no real point to it with them getting divorced. And then seeing Barney get back into his old womanizing ways was horrendous, because I personally loved this new, loving, and human Barney. But he seemed to revert back to new and improved Barney when he had his kid. The moment when he met his kid was beautiful. But that was one of only a few scenes that were beautiful. A few great parts from this episode were when Ted actually met the Mother (whose name we learned was Tracy) and basically their interactions. Their chemistry once again popped off the screen. It was by far the best parts of the episode. The last three minutes is where the show as a whole fell apart. They should've ended at the train station with Ted and Tracey and I would've been satisfied, even with the ambiguity of it all. Instead they have Ted finish up his story (where he says kids that is how i met your mother... also an acceptable ending) and then the kids called him out on the fact that he was essentially asking the kids for their permission to date Robin. That is where the show is ruined for me, because it really deletes the whole point of the show. I guess at its core the show is about Ted finding his one true love, and that during the whole show it was Robin, but it felt like a cheesy, cop-out to me. The only point of Tracy being in the story was so that Ted would have kids to tell the story to (because Robin cannot physically have kids). I also don't really like it, because I loved Tracy. She was the perfect match for Ted. She was a better character than Robin ever was and her and Ted just worked so much better together. I know they dropped hints about this happening all throughout this season, but I was really hoping this wouldn't be the way it ended. I never was a fan of Ted and Robin. They didn't work great ever, and Ted deserved better then Robin. On the other hand, I'd feel wrong if I say I hated it. I feel like that last shot with Ted holding a blue french horn for Robin really brought Ted's story full circle. Even though that negated his development with Robin this season. The main problem lies with all the contradicting the show did and basically reverting all characters, sans Marshall and Lily, back to season one and two forms. I feel like maybe I could come to love this finale if I watch all the seasons again, but for now I just don't know how to feel. So many things right (Tracy was especially my favorite part of this season) and so many things I feel are wrong. I cannot in good conscience give this episode a score or even highlights, because of all the feelings I'm having. At the end of the day, though, 'How I Met Your Mother' was one of my favorite shows and I am sad that it is gone. What do you guys think?

The Basics: Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Daryl find their way to Terminus. The Analysis: The season 4 finale of "The Walking Dead" certainly delivered. Not in the way you may think, though. The episode starts out with Rick, Carl, and Michonne running into Joe's gang. The showdown was just flat out epic. So many feelings and ideas were conveyed through this scene. Daryl shows up and breaks the one rule that Joe's gang feels is most important (don't lie). This leads to one of the biggest scenes ever for Rick. With Daryl getting the crap beat out of him, Michonne almost on the brink of death, and Carl getting borderline raped, Rick decides to bite Joe's throat out. And then he guts the guy that almost raped Carl. This most certainly leads to a darker path for Rick, which I can't wait to be explored. This episode stayed with that group the rest of the episode. A brief, important scene was held between Rick and Daryl, were Rick tells Daryl he is his brother. This was important for both, so they didn't feel guilt about what happened. The group winds up at Terminus, and obviously takes the back /door in. Here they meet Gareth. This is the scene that confirms this group is *SPOILERS* the Hunter/cannibal group from the comics *SPOILERS OVER*. That is where this finale started setting up the next season (thats what I meant when I said the finale delivered, but not in the way you think). Things go south when Rick sees members of Terminus in possession of some of Glenn and Maggie's possessions. This lead to a pretty cool action scene and then a pretty good showdown. Gareth kind of flexed his muscles a bit. They got led into a train cart, where they find some of their group. They got reunited with Glenn's group. The intriguing part is that Carol and Tyrese weren't seen at all this episode, nor was Beth. Did they make it to Terminus, or are they still out there? I'm willing to bet Carol and Tyrese got to Terminus at one point (due to the powdered milk outside of the train cart), and that Beth is still out in the world somewhere. The flashbacks were there to show Rick's arc come full circle. The journey from farmer to willing to do anything to survive was a long path. While I wasn't a huge fan of the flashbacks (mainly due to wanting to see more of the Terminus story unravel), I did enjoy Hershel's appearance. The Rick's in this episode were two completely different people . I cannot wait to see this more lethal, deadly, and even level headed Rick can do. The only problem I had from him this episode was his line. I wished it would've been "Who we are.", because it would've brought the episode arc full circle. Overall, this was one of the better episodes of this season. Not quite on par with Hershel's death episode, but still quite good. It had some great scenes straight from the comics, and the action was fantastic. Some interesting story threads were left out for next season and I can't wait. Next season is shaping up to potentially be the best yet. Highlights:

The Basics: Team Arrow deal with Helena's return. Roy must deal with Thea. The Analysis: Tonight was a sort of breather from all the story we have been getting this season. While a lot was filler, and compelling filler at that, it still managed to move the story. One problem I had was the flashbacks weren't really contributing to any story. It was basically a negotiation process between Sara and Slade for Sara to get Ollie back. They weren't particularly interesting and dragged a bit. So was Helena's return worth it? Kinda. It really gave Laurel a chance to shine. I am usually against her as a character, because she is annoying, but I found myself thinking "Go Laurel" a few times tonight. She basically gets called back to be a lawyer, which is really a cover to capture Helena when she inevitably returns. Still, this episode was really used to showcase how far Laurel has come since her fall. She even tries to help Black Canary out a little. Laurel is starting to actually become an interesting character, especially now that the writers have given her a bit of an edge, which was showcased at the end of the episode. The biggest problem I had with this episode was Helena. She is the most character that's been on the show. I blame that squarely on the actress. She is just not right. Her delivery was wrong and the character's motivation is still to kill her dad. I have never been a fan of her on the show, and I'm surprised the writers messed her up again. Even the fight scenes with Black Canary were a bit weak. Still, they brought her story full circle this week, with her dad being killed. Albeit at the hands of a rogue cop, which destroyed her. So the door is still open for her to come back, but I think it will be a while before the writers give her another shot. As for Roy, Ollie tells him to break up with Thea because he is a danger to her. Roy has to take some drastic actions for it to happen, but when it does the aftermath is excruciating. I especially got a sting for Ollie from that line Thea had about Ollie being the only person that is truthful with her. Thea has become an interesting character on this show, after seeming like a misfire at the beginning of the series, and it makes me sad that she is barely on the show currently. Roy is obviously upset too, but he seems more mad. It will be interesting to see if he is mad at Ollie and decides to do something about that. Tonight's episode was solid. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. It really gave Laurel a spot to shine in the spotlight, and for once I actually liked Laurel. Her character and likability seem to be on an upswing, so I hope they stay is this path. At the end of the episode Thea ran into Slade, and it is a cliffhanger into next week, which promises to be an epic one. Highlights:

The Basics: Nick and Jess argue. Schmidt, Coach, and Winston help some ladies move in. The Analysis: New Girl is going down hill. This season is nowhere near as good as season 1 or 2. Tonight's episode is one of the worst of the series and the sad part is it started off well with a rousing game of True American. Heck it even had Alexandra Daddario. And they still messed it up. The morning after the game of True American, Nick and Jess have to go to a one year old's birthday party. Only problem is Nick has put together the kid's present (which is a completely ridiculous thing to do) and it leads to an argument between Nick and Jess. This argument had them question whether they are good for a relationship. And apparently they aren't good for each other as romantic interests. They decided to remain friends. However, the argument was stupid in the first place. Jess thought it was weird that Nick didn't think long-term and Nick thought it was weird that she did. It is a big deal, but it isn't like it was a problem then, as I think they have only been dating for at most a year. Just a ridiculous way to break them up and it just didn't hold much weight with me, even with that gut-wrenching friendship hug at the end. The Schmidt, Coach, and Winston story wasn't that funny either. Basically, two new girls move in and the guys want to help. Naturally this turns into a competition. And no one really wins, with just a bland plot. This is just truly bad writing. The story could've been so much better, but no one knows what to do on this show. And that little bit about Cece's boyfriend was just thrown in. Like does anyone care that much. Just everything about this story was bad. I have no idea when New Girl went from having compelling stories to be genuinely confused about what to do. Having seen every episode of the show, I can say with confidence that this is by-far the worst episode of the series. Nothing worked and the story was barely coherent. You know what they say when you've hit rock bottom, though. There is no where to go but up. I can't think of any highlights from this episode. 4 out of 10 Stars SPOILERS AHEAD
The Basics: Jake is at risk of getting suspended, or worse. Boyle deals with a breakup. The Analysis: Man, I can't believe it has been a full season of this show. This was the best of episode of the show story wise. It cleared up the majority of the stories from this season and left a few threads dangling for next season. Jake feels a politician is partaking in illegal activities. The Commissioner steps on and tells Peralta to lay off of him, but Peralta gets caught watching the politician again and is on the verge of getting suspended. The Captain and Santiago help him out. I loved this very much, because we got to see two characters known for order and following the rules go against their values. I really enjoyed the Captain, because he just did his own thing. Some bits include his flirting skills ("The ladies want what they can't have") and his impeccable dancing skills. He did his own thing this week and it was quite funny. We even got a thrift store montage that was hilarious. The episode even threw in some character growth for Jake. He trusted the Captain, when the Captain told him to get fired. This happened because of a larger investigation going. This led to Jake getting a job with the FBI. When he was leaving the police station, Peralta finally admitted his feelings for Santiago to her. This is really the only bit I have a problem with as we only got to see her initial reaction, but I guess the fallout will be dealt with in Season 2. As for Boyle, his inevitable breakup with Evelyn happened, and he has decided to go full on Matrix mode. This did open a door for Rosa to be a good friend for Boyle, and while nothing she and Terry did really helped, it was nice to see her and Boyle's friendship. Obviously, the only thing that worked was drinking their problems away, where Rosa admitted to Boyle that she has never dated someone like him, which is why she doesn't do relationships well. This seemed to hint at a potential relationship between Boyle and Rosa that will probably be explored. I'm curious to see how that goes. Although, there might be a problem with Boyle waking up with Gina the next morning. It was a great finale for Brooklyn Nine-Nine. They wrapped up some stories, while giving way to some interesting roads to explore next season. Highlights: The Captain was hilarious tonight Peralta semi-deals with his feelings for Santiago Boyle and Rosa? 9.5 out of 10 Stars The next season of AHS will be subtitled Freak Show. The season will take place in a carnival in Jupiter, Florida during the 1950s. Jessica Lange will once again star. This time she will be playing “a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.” According to her, this will be her last season. Other returning cast members are Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Emma Roberts. It will be interesting to see how this season plays out, after a somewhat disappointing third season. Stay tuned for more info as it releases.

The Basics: Barney and Robin start to panic about the wedding. Marshall and Lily renew their vows. The Analysis: This was yet another good episode that is rounding out the season. I was surprised they did the wedding this episode. I figured they'd save it for the finale. However, with it out of the way we have a full episode of wedding and reception and potentially future scenes. But onto tonight's episode. Robin is now in panic mode about her wedding. She wants someone that is willing to go find her locket, and Barney isn't that guy. I felt that even though they already have panicked enough this weekend, that this panic attack was okay for the story. I mean who wouldn't have doubts marrying Barney Stinson? She knows Ted is the one that found the locket and even considers running off with him. That is until he finally tells her no, they aren't right for each other. We have gotten the final conclusion on Ted's love for Robin, and it felt much more final and held much more weight than when they tried it a few weeks ago. Robin eventually panics and runs into the Mother. They finally meet and the Mother gives some fairly helpful advice. Funny seeing the impact she has had on Barney and Robin's lives and that she is basically the reason they are getting married. As for Barney, he is trying hard to write the perfect vows. With some help from Marshall and Lily, who by the way renew their vows in a sweet sort of wrap-up scene, Barney realizes that their is only one vow for him. Barney runs into Robin and makes the vow of honesty and to never lie to her again. Problems solved and happiness ensues for the two. The wedding was beautiful, but Ted seemed a bit sad in his VO. I hope I'm just reading into this too much, because I will not be happy if the Mother is actually dead. We have finally arrived at the finale episode. Next week we will find out how Ted's story ends. I hope the producers do the show justice and not kill the Mother off. We will have to wait a week for the last big surprise of the show, though. As for tonight, it was a solid build up for the final episode. Oh and that final slap was on point and actually well used. Highlights:

The Basics: Glenn is still searching for Maggie. Daryl learns the rules of his new group. The Analysis: First off, RICK SIGHTING. Yep Rick appeared for a whisper in the wind this episode. And in that brief scene, it seemed like maybe they were hinting at a relationship to come between Rick and Michonne. As for the beef of the episode, it delivered one of the more action-packed episodes in the back half of this season. I am totally okay with that too, as I was getting bored with the last few weeks, mainly due to all the characters getting the same idea and then that idea gets cancelled immediately. Daryl is with his new group (who may be the Hunters) and is learning the rules. I enjoyed Jeff Kober's scenes as the ambiguous leader of this group. You never quite know what he is thinking. I couldn't tell you how many times I thought Daryl was in trouble, only to have Kober defend him. I'm not sure if Kober favors Daryl over everyone in this group or he is trying to use Daryl. This relationship will probably end badly, though, with Kober's character telling Daryl that Rick (Daryl doesn't know that) killed one of their men and that they are headed to Terminus to find him. I can't wait to see what happens here. We got to see Glenn with Abraham and the gang. Eugene got to say a little more this week, and I think he needs to keep his mouth shut. He has zero social skills. None. He couldn't even make a good effort at flirting with Tara. Eventually the gangs went their separate ways, with a nice goodbye between Abraham's gang and Glenn and Tara. For a brief second it showed a gentler, more friendly side to Abraham. I hope we see that more, although the wise-cracking version is also pretty great. This led to a compromising situation and wouldn't ya know it, Abraham shows up with Maggie, Bob, and Sasha to save the day. It took a while, but we finally got Glenn and Maggie reunited. The producers decided to go with a more subtle version of this and while it still held a bit of weight, I wished it would've seemed like they were happier to be reunited. Eventually, they wind up at Terminus to find a creepy, surprisingly peopleless sanctuary, minus one creepy lady. The only thing I know about Terminus is it is definitely not what it seems. With the season finale next week, I'm sure we will find out a little more about Terminus. I'm curious to see what happens, because I still have no clue how this season is gonna end. As for tonight, it was another solid episode. Not on the same level of WTF as last week, but overall more well-rounded and solid throughout. Highlights:

The Basics: Ollie is searching for Slade so he can stop him. Diggle and Lyla get picked by A.R.G.U.S. for a mission. The Analysis: I didn't know what to expect from this episode, so I didn't really have any expectations. If I did, however, they would have been met. This was a fantastic episode. It was mainly Diggle's episode. It saw him team up with the aforementioned 'Suicide Squad' to stop a man he once saved. Diggle really shined too. His character has been grossly underused this season, so it was nice to see him in the spotlight. Dig and Deadshot's relationship was great. Deadshot continues to be one of the better written villains on the show. Even though this was titled "Suicide Squad", it was really Deadshot. Shrapnel was cut loose fast, and Tiger barely got any screen time. But it was not a problem. Deadshot had more depth added to his character, with the revelation that he does what he does for his daughter. That really connected Diggle with him in a way we haven't seen before. At the end it gave Diggle a reason to save Deadshot, ensuring that he will be back (albeit not for long if we are to take his word). As for Oliver, he was still dealing with the shock that Slade is still alive. You know what that means. Let's push away everyone that matters to me so they don't get hurt. Not good. It is getting a bit old seeing Oliver push everyone away, but I get that that is the only way he knows how to deal with things. And he did show some growth when he actually talked to Sara about things. Also it brought about the end of his relationship with the Russians (I think that is what they are. Coreect me if I'm wrong.). It stinks, but it was headed that way at the beginning of the episode. It culminates in Arrow asking Waller for help in finding Deathstroke. One last bit. The Harley Quinn cameo was great. Only problem I had was that they used Tara Strong for the voice and a body stand-in for her. I would say that probably means we won't see Arrow dealing with Harley for a while, if ever. But it does mean Batman is in this universe. Big things are coming up in Arrow. Highlights:

The Basics: Jake throws himself into his work for personal reasons. Amy lies about going on vacation to Captain Holt. Gina and Rosa tell Charles about a secret place. The Analysis: I wasn't a big fan of this episode. I usually like this show, because it has a lot of humor coupled with some character development. Both were pretty lacking tonight. There were some funny bits sprinkled throughout the episode, though. One bit was the Captain telling Jake how he sprained his wrist, which was due to a hula-hooping experience, because he knows no one will believe Jake. There was another one that sticks out, but I'll get to that in a minute. Jake's story didn't offer much, besides him throwing himself into his work because Santiago is going on vacation with her boyfriend. It is great to see more in this plot point, as I feel they ignore it one week and develop it the next, so whatever we can get I will take. Jake eventually solves the case, but isn't happy. Terry figures out Jake isn't happy with his record and his solving the case, because he was doing it to impress Santiago and she still is with Teddy. I love that they are acknowledging it, but it would hold more weight if Teddy was actually a character. Instead, he is just a piece of the story. As for Santiago, she lies to the Captain to try to get out of helping him, because she scheduled helping him on the same weekend as her vacation. The one funny bit of this is when Santiago was revealed to have seven cavities and the Captain said "I feel you deserve this." The only good part from Boyle's story is that Rosa stood up for him after he spilled the beans on the secret place to Scully and Hitchcock. There just wasn't much to the stories this week. It was probably the first truly weak episode of this season. Highlights:
