Here's the first part of Grant Gustin's "Flash" costume. Minus the almost brownish color and the lightning bolt's position, I am onboard with this look for as much as we've seen. The bolts look a little too close to the head and I think the costume should be more red. But if it is anything like Arrow's, I think we are okay.

Parks and Rec was hilarious tonight. Surprisingly, we barely felt the loss of Ann and Chris. The Basics: Ben tries to get Leslie the best anniversary gift ever. Leslie meanwhile is trying to make the merge between Eagleton and Pawnee as friendly as possible. April tries to teach Donna a lesson and Ron learns how to review things. The Analysis: The opening of the episode was great. I loved the radio host bickering, as it showed the hatred of the two towns and it was just plain funny, especially Andy's phone call. Leslie's plan this episode was to try and make the merge of the two towns as smooth as possible. She enlisted the help of a married couple with one part from Eagleton and the other from Pawnee. This was funny as we saw they were not really a good match. Some funny bits came from this story. While Leslie was off on her business, Ben was trying to set-up the perfect day/gift for his and Leslie's anniversary. This was hilarious. Extra funny due to the fact the Ben got help from Larry, who you would think would mess everything up, but was there for Ben through everything. Whether it be massages and Ben's stress over the new Star Wars film, or the chariot ride in the vein of 'Enchanted' (because that is a great movie that should get more recognition for its score) Larry was there to share in it all. The funniest part of this episode was Ron's letters/reviews to everything. He started this after April left a bad review about Donna, because Donna wasn't doing her work. My personal favorites were "Dear Canada, F**k You. and Dear fro-yo, Be ice cream or be nothing." At the end of the day Leslie got Ben the best gift. The Game of Thrones' Iron Throne. Watching Ben's reaction and impersonations to all of this was just laugh out loud funny. I hope he keeps the chair in his office and does business like that. As for selling the town on the merger, well Leslie got a brain trust together and they came up with a three day music festival across both the towns. Here's hoping for Mouserat. The Takeaways: Ron was funny as ever. Ben and Larry had some nice time to spend together. We got a good idea for the merger, and hopefully they follow through on this. If it keeps going like this, we will eventually be like Ann and Chris who? Highlights:

The return from Community brought a different type of episode, but one that did well to hide of the cracks of Troy's departure. The Basics: Duncan attempts to hook-up with Britta. Britta deals with a identity crisis. A relationship between Hickey and Abed starts to develop. The Analysis: The episode starts on Abed's situation. He is going to a 'Kickpuncher' movie and when he was getting ready you could just tell Troy was missing. There wasn't much to the few scenes of Abed alone, but the emotion Danny Pudi was able to convey was just fantastic. I really felt bad for Abed. However, he soon comes across Hickey and makes him mad. Hickey decides that someone needs to teach Abed a lesson, so he does it himself. The banter between the two was effective. I especially loved the little yelling match between the two, which led to a writing partnership between the two. I think if this relationship keeps getting explored, it could be really rewarding. For Duncan, Britta, and Jeff they were up to some antics at a party. Duncan wants to hook-up with Britta, obviously as his crush has been front and center before. When Britta runs into some old anarchists friends, Duncan sees his chance. Until Jeff steps in the way and says he still has feelings for her. I'm not sure how that bit of information will play out the rest of the season, but I hope they don't leave that hanging. Duncan gets his chance, but chooses to be a good guy and gives Britta some advice and takes her home. I was glad to see this and it seemed to help Britta, too. The Takeaways: Abed and Hickey's relationship could be gold, so keep going on with that. The Jeff still has feelings for Britta thing seems a bit unnecessary, but could also be good for the show. Keep exploring the new dynamics until you find a good one that fits. Highlights:
8 out of 10 Stars ![]() The First Lady well appear as herself in an upcoming episode titled "Moving Up". This title seems to hint at Leslie's jump into bigger and better politics. Apparently the episode was filmed a while back down in Miami, and the producers were able to fit the location into the story. I can't wait to see this one and I hope the first lady pushes Leslie towards a bigger career. Spoilers Ahead:
Tonight's episode of Arrow was on of the best ones yet. The Basics: Arrow and Black Canary deal with the Clock King. Felicity feels left another. Laurel's issues with Sarah finally comes to a head. The Analysis : The Arrow team is on the Clock King's case this week. As you know Felicity is the woman behind the man. So when she starts failing and seeing how awesome Sara is she starts to feel a bit left out and maybe a tad jealous. I loved this. Although I'm not a fan of Olicity, I do love seeing their relationship and Felicity's scenes with Diggle and Ollie were very sweet and well done. Now to the beef of the episode. There is a lot of family issues going on. Det. Lance suggests to Laurel having a dinner in the hopes of him getting back together with Dinah. That idea goes down quickly when Dinah reveals she is seeing another man and Laurel realizes Ollie and Sara are together. This leads to the best scene of the series between Ollie and Laurel. Ollie basically tells Laurel I'm done being your friend because you aren't taking responsibility for yourself. I know I've been a bit hard on Laurel as a character, but this week she really stepped up her game. She wasn't annoying and she wasn't a butthole. Seeing Ollie just say I'm done with you and then walking away with tears in his eyes was just amazing. Stephen Amell has done a grade A job with his acting as Oliver Queen the past couple weeks. Laurel decides to start to get her life back together, and maybe now she is finally on her redemption path. As for Ollie, Thea is starting to sense something is amiss between him and Moira. She tries to get him to talk to her and when he gets back to the house he finds Slade Wilson there. That handshake and the very brief meeting was epic. The tension in the room pops off the screen and I can't wait for whats coming next week. The Takeaways: It was a strong episode. Laurel is finally getting her life back together, which is great. Detective Lance, even though he got shutdown by Dinah, seems happy. And next week we will get an epic showdown between Ollie and Slade! One thing is we need more Diggle. He has been pushed to the back burner the past few episodes, and I want him back front and center. Also keep exploring the Sara and Oliver romance. Highlights: Laurel and Oliver argument Laurel on redemption arc, finally! Slade Freaking Wilson! 10 out of 10 Stars ![]() A couple months ago it was announced that Marvel had a signed a deal with Netflix to produce 4 different series and a team up event. The return of Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a really, really good episode. The Basics: Jake's poor financial skills finally catch up to him, while the Captain has everyone do a self-evaluation and Boyle and Rosa deal with the weekend crew. The Analysis: First off, the opening was hilarious. Especially seeing Holt crack a couple of jokes at Peralta's expense was gold. The theme of the week was new dynamics. The first new dynamic is the one between Gina and Jake. Apparently they were BFFs as kids. We find this out when Peralta announces his Nana's apartment is being taken away from him and Gina wants to help find a way to save it. I am not a huge fan of Gina, but tonight she actually seemed like a real person. The writers seemed to have toned her down a ton and it worked well. She ended up telling Jake she'd take ownership of the apartment and rent it out to him, but when he turns his nose up at that deal he has a decision to make. He was the adult man and apologized to Gina and even took her apartment and gave her Nana's apartment. That was a sweet moment for Jake and showed a bit of character growth. As for the evaluations, it was a bit flat. It seemed like a bit of an after thought, although the wrap-up to it was quite nice. It seemed a bit thrown in to give the other characters something to do. Boyle and Rosa's story was fantastic. With Boyle not creeping on Rosa, we saw what an actual friendship between them could be like and it was glorious. Heck, it was even hinted at that maybe, just maybe there could be a bit of romance in the future if Boyle isn't "Full Boyle". He made Rosa laugh and smile. I'd say that is a pretty solid accomplishment. The Takeaways: While the evaluation story felt a bit thrown in, the rest of the episode was one of the best. A Boyle and Rosa friendship should be explored more, as should a more down to earth Gina. One of the best episodes of this young show's life. Highlights:

In New Girl's return, we get the follow up to "Sister". It was a solid episode tonight. The Basics: Jess doesn't want Abby to live with her in the loft, so she attempts to find her a new place. In the meantime, Nick tries to keep Abby busy and Winston hits rock bottom. The Analysis: I really enjoy Abby's character. I think she brought a jolt this show needed. Based on the last episode, I can completely understand why Jess doesn't want Abby to live with her. So when she tries to keep Abby busy with Nick, problems arise. The problem is that Nick can't keep Jess' secret and ends up telling Abby what's going on. He calls in Schmidt to settle her down, and they end up hooking up. I feel this is only to get back at Jess. Some hilarity ensues from this hook-up. I loved the dinner scene, especially Nick's script. However, I'm not sold on Abby and Schmidt. That is because there were many hints at Abby and Winston and I think that could be good for both characters. Now for Winston. He has hit rock bottom. He didn't even get into the police academy. At this point I am just tired of Winston. He hasn't added anything to the story and it is said to see him wind up in the same group as Cece. It just seems like the writers are having a hard time juggling all the characters and giving them satisfying arcs. The Takeaways: Everything with Abby was gold this week. Most everything else fell flat. Maybe the writers will actually give Winston something to do in the next few episodes, seeing as he has nowhere to go except up. Highlights:

Even though tonight's episode did about zero for the story, it was still a sweet episode. The Basics: When Barney is about as hungover as you could get, the gang tries everything to get him to wake up for wedding pictures. The Analysis: This episode was disappointingly 100% filler. Nothing moved the story forward. However, I did enjoy the episode. Some of the stuff was funny, such as Ted's discovery of bacon and some of the ways the group attempted to wake Barney. I particularly enjoyed Robin threatening his tie. The gang realizes that Barney has a secret hangover recovery drink, but it has a secret ingredient. To try to wake him up and get the secret ingredient, Lily's wish is finally fulfilled and her and Robin kiss. A nice little tie up on that little running joke. When that wakes him up, he reveals that the drink didn't work. It was his lying to help them through a tough time that got them through. It was a really sweet, albeit completely unnecessary reveal for the show. I did really love the scene at the end with Ted doing the same for the Mom, though. The Takeaways: Back to the filler for How I Met Your Mother tonight. Some of the stuff worked and some felt a bit overdone (looking at you Robin wanting to kiss Lily). Hopefully the show picks back up for this homestretch. Highlights:
