Spoilers Ahead:
First off I want to say I haven't reviewed the first two episodes since its return, because I was not in a position to review them. Now for tonight's episode. It was a good episode. It progressed the story and developed the characters a bit more.
The Basics:
Michonne and Carl go out to find some food, while Rick is visited at the house while he is resting and regaining some strength. In the meantime, Glenn wakes up with Tara in the back of Abraham's truck and comes across some socking information.
The Analysis:
The opening scene was just weird. It didn't fit at all. Abraham and Tara do not have enough of a relationship to make a joke like that. This story is the best of the episode, though. Glenn attempts to leave to find his wife, and Abraham tries to talk him out of it. From this we find out that the social inept Eugene is apparently the key to figuring out the zombie virus. Glenn chooses Maggie over saving the world and I really liked this decision. Things were farely easy for Michonne and Carl this week. All we really saw was some bonding. We saw Michonne open up a bit, which I really loved, and we saw her show some more emotion, albeit for only a brief second. Things weren't so easy for Rick, though. He stays behind at the house to rest and regain some strength. The only problem is the house gets intruded upon when he is asleep. This moments bring a lot of tension to the show. I loved these parts of the show. Rick worked his way out of it and met up with Carl and Michonne. They eventually found a sign telling them about a sanctuary. Maybe Terminus, the safe zone we saw Carol and Tyrese find a map to last week.
The Takeaway:
A solid episode for The Walking Dead. It set-up a lot for the show to explore the rest of the season. I think we will see the home invaders again. I'm very curious to see where the season will lead, because right now I have no clue. I think we will wind up in Terminus. We need more Abraham and Rick right now.
