Spoilers Ahead
The Basics:
Leslie tries to get the town a new slogan. Andy is setting up the Unity Concert. April, Donna, and Tom look at prospective locations for Tom's Bistro.
The Analysis:
Leslie's story just felt a tad old and recycled. She tries to do something good and the town craps on it. Although it did have a few things to differentiate itself from other episodes similar to this one. I wasn't a huge fan of Leslie's interview with the Douche and Crazy Ira or the montage with all the other media in town. It just was a bit out there. Although with Leslie's story we did get Peebo the Panda and that is a great thing. She eventually got what she wanted, even if it was in Pawnee's special way. It seemed this was used more as a push for her to take the National Parks job as it did see her hand power over to Larry for a quick second. Andy's story was a bit brief, but funny nonetheless. It had Craig for a second which is always good. It saw him discover that Ron is Duke Silver and Andy trying to book "Duke Silver" for the Unity Concert. Andy promised to keep's Ron secret about being Duke Silver and even read some of his secrets (I don't understand 2% milk. Like what is the other 98%?). There wasn't much resolution, as we didn't see Ron confirm he would appear at the Unity Concert, but I'd be more surprised if he didn't. April and Donna took Tom to some awful possible locations for Tom's Bistro, because they wanted him to stay. They eventually found him a good place. It was nice to let him go do his thing.
The Takeaways:
In many ways it feels like they are setting up for next season to be the last. With Chris and Ann's departure, Tom getting another crack at a business with some actual business experience now, Ron getting a family, and Leslie's potential job in Chicago, it seems like they are trying to wrap this story up with a bow. Its sad that next season will most likely be it's last, but it is also good that they are starting to tie up some stories now.
