Spoilers Ahead
The Basics:
Boyle falls in love with a woman he met on last week's episode. In order to stop him from scaring her off by going to fast, Jake attempts to protect Boyle from himself. Meanwhile, the Captain faces competition for the presidency of the club he create, African-American Gay Police Officers of New York City. Rosa and Santiago also have to deal with a 'vigilante'.
The Analysis:
The previous Full Boyles were hilarious to hear about, as we got a montage of Boyle explaining to Jake what he did and then his reaction. This was very funny. I loved seeing a still growing Peralta. To help protect Boyle from ruining things, he goes on a double date with him. Only problem is his date happens to be the perfect woman for him. Yet Peralta stays strong and protects Boyle from making a potential huge mistake in proposing to this woman. Only he realizes that this woman cares about Boyle as much as he does her, so Peralta makes it up with a nice lunch set up for the two. It is really great seeing Peralta grow a little. Rosa and Santiago's brief story was humorous. They had to deal with Super Dan, a street hero, who they don't take seriously. That is until they realize he actually has good info. It was a short sweet story with a lesson. Meanwhile, the Captain actually had some competition for President of his gay, black, police officer club. Gina had some funny bits in helping the Captain out. I also enjoyed the joke the Captain gave at the election. He realized that it was time to hand over the reins and withdrew himself from the race.
