Now You See Me was a surprise hit last summer. So it isn't a shock that the movie got a sequel. Not much is known about the sequel, but it will apparently feature the entire original cast. It will also add Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) to play Michael Caine's son. This is pretty big news. Say what you will about him, but Daniel Radcliffe is a big star and fantastic get for the movie. What do you think of this casting?

An extra for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man has posted a picture of him in what seems to be a security uniform for Hank Pym's company. Instead of being called Pym Particles like in the comics, it will be called Pym Technologies. A simple change no doubt for Marvel. It was likely changed to fit it in with the modern world we live in today. Not much is known about the film right now, which is surprising for a Marvel movie. Will you see Ant-Man? ![]() The next movie in the DC Animated Universe will focus on Aquaman. The trailer looks pretty darn good. My hope is that it doesn't turn into a smash fest like Justice League: War. The film has a brief synopsis. "As Orm and Black Manta make their move against the surface world after the battle with Apokolips forces in Justice League War had deadly consequences for Atlantis, the queen of the lost underwater civilization searches for her other son, Orm's half brother Arthur. Living on the surface world with powers he doesn't understand, Arthur Curry steps into his destiny as Aquaman, teaming with the Justice League to save and unite all people of the world." ![]() Interstellar is Christopher Nolan's next foray into cinema. After a slew of hits, he will bring us another potential hit. As is expected from Christopher Nolan movies, we know next to nothing about it. It will revolve around space and saving the human race. The movie certainly looks good. Will you go see it? It has been a whole since we have reported on 'Batman v Superman'. There hasn't been much. At the end of last week, we got our first potential look at what may be the new Wayne Manor in the film. This was hinted at when we saw a trailer with Alfred's name on it. The manor will probably be added onto with CGI in post-production to make it look bigger. I think the new manor looks pretty cool.
We also got a lot at one of the new pictures from Comic-Con. It is the same pose of Batman that we saw in the first picture, but from a different angle. It doesn't show much, but it is pretty cool. Finally, production will go to Chicago in November. The city doubled as Metropolis in 'Man of Steel' and as Gotham in Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight Trilogy'. It will apparently double as both again this time around. Hopefully we get a teaser trailer soon! We never got to see 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' in theaters, but we will see it when it is available on DVD. The movie got very average reviews, but it sounded at least entertaining. 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' was a fantastic movie for many reasons. So it is no surprise that we are hungrily waiting for the movie to hit DVD. The movie will be available on December 2, 2014. A few months away, but not too terribly long. The movie will also come with a lot of bonus features. It will hit stores in the UK on November 24, 2014 and December 9, 2014 in the US. I assume these covers will be available in the US. I hope so, because the Awesome Mix case is pretty epic. Are you excited for the home release? The trailer we are thirsting for is still a few weeks away, but we got our firs clue as to when the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer will drop. According to Warner Bros Russia at an event, the new trailer will come attached to 'Interstellar'. This seems to be just in Russia right now, but it does bring up the question of whether or not Warner or Disney will announce it for over here. Hopefully it does. We will definitely see that trailer in the coming weeks, though. How excited are you? We have heard next to nothing regarding the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' reboot. So it is a surprise when we say that we actually have some news! The new rumors swirling around regard the Storm family and the origin of the team, so there might be some spoilers ahead. "Well, we have heard from our source that it is actually Mara’s Sue Storm who is adopted in the film, with her and Michael B. Jordan’s parents being African American," is what the source said about Sue. This is not too much of a shock, considering they cast a black man to play Sue and Johnny's dad. As for the origin, well "In the film, the team will gain their powers through a lab experiment gone wrong in a way, where they create a portal to another world or dimension (its not clear) and they get their powers after the exposure to this other dimension/planet." This is much different then the other Fantastic Four movies. It will surely be an interesting route to take if they go with it. They also said that the film will be very character driven. Again no surprise there. The movie is scheduled to release August 7, 2015. I usually don't cover this type of stuff, but 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is like the little engine that could. Therefore it is very fun to watch how far this movie goes and everything that it accomplishes. The movie has surpassed the total of 'Iron Man', the first 'Transformers' and 'Harry Potter' movies on the all-time domestic box office list. It is currently #33 on the list. It is on the verge of passing 'Thor: The Dark World' at the worldwide box office. 'Thor: The Dark World' currently sits at $644.8, while 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is at $644.3. It will be fun to see where this movie ends. I can't wait for it to reach DVD. What about you? 'Interstellar' is Christopher Nolan's next highly-anticipated project. There is still very little that is actually known about the movie, but we do know the runtime. The movie will be 5 minutes longer then 'The Dark Knight Rises', clocking in at 169 minutes. That is just under 3 hours! It will be interesting to see how this movie goes. 'Interstellar' releases November 7th, 2014. You'll be able to own the hit Marvel movie, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' on December 9th this year. Director James Gunn confirmed it earlier today, after Amazon posted it as the date on their website. If you need any more confirmation that that is the date, well Mr. Gunn deleted his tweet and Amazon took the date down. Regardless, Gunn confirmed that the DVD will have a commentary and will have tons of extras. Click on the pictures to get to the Amazon page. Will you pre-order the movie? 'Guardians of the Galaxy' continue their take over of the world today. Marvel announced that the soundtrack to the movie went gold after selling 500,000 copies. That is pretty impressive. It is only the second soundtrack of 2014 to go gold and topped the Billboard 200 charts after 2 and 3 weeks. The soundtrack has a pretty impressive cast by itself, featuring the likes of Jackson Five, The Runaways, and Rebone. As for the movie, well it is still going strong. It currently sits at $630 million worldwide. Did you buy the soundtrack? In a recent interview, Simon Kinberg announced that there will be an extended cut of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' will be released sometime next year. The release is dubbed the "Rogue Cut", and will feature Rogue's scenes that got cut and other cuts. All-in-all, the cut scenes will add an additional 10 minutes to the movie. Is that enough to gain your interest? Will you buy the "Rogue Cut" IndieRevolver has been on point when it comes to 'Star Wars: Episode VII' news. They have given us a few pictures of the new Stormtroopers in the past, and today they have shown us the new chrome/metallic Stormtroopers. These new Troopers are rumored to be working with Adam Driver's character. "A couple sources have expressed that the chrome troopers are a private security force for Adam Driver’s character – silver mercenary rent-a-cops rather than true Imperial Forces for Adam Driver’s character. While we’ve not heard this from anyone directly, the most abundant rumor about Driver is that he’s a wealthy aristocrat with an interest in Sith artifacts." They have also posted some concept art of a scene depicting a lightsaber duel on the Millennium Falcon. The pictures don't particularly say much, but they do show the ideas that are brewing during the production of the movie. How excited are you for 'Episode VII'? ![]() The most recent X-Men adventure was one of the best X-Men films, if not the best. It will be releasing on DVD October 14th, so we are starting to see some of the bonus features from the home releases wind-up online. We have two, one exploring the Quicksilver scene and one talking about bringing the old cast and new cast together. Most people know about the Bryan Singer controversy by now. But things have cleared up recently. After the overwhelming success of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', FOX has decided to officially bring back Bryan Singer to direct the sequel, 'X-Men: Apocalypse'. The report also mentioned this about the movie. "Apocalypse takes place a decade after Days of Future Past and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet – an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history." 'X-Men: Apocalypse' is set to come out May 27th, 2016. After the success of 'Guardians of the Galaxy', it seems like studios are becoming a little more willing to develop the lesser known aspects of comic book lore. Deadpool is finally getting a movie (albeit with the help of that fantastic leaked footage!). But it seems that Warner Bros is finally starting to take some serious steps towards making a Suicide Squad movie (which was probably helped by the overwhelmingly positive response to 'Assault on Arkham' and the appearance on 'Arrow). WB is eyeing David Ayer (Fury, End of Watch) to helm a "dark and edgy" live-action adaptation of the team. I haven't seen any of Ayer's films, but it seems like he is a very good choice based on the movies he has made. Hopefully they include Harley Quinn and maybe even Deathstroke with a team that will most likely include Deadshot, King Shark, and Amanda Waller. Dan Lin will produce from a script by Justin Marks. What do you think of this news? Source:Variety We are in a bit of a lull for 'Batman v Superman' news right now, but we do have a new rumor regarding Jason Momoa's Aquaman. According to Schmoes Know, this version of Aquaman will "look like a surfer essentially with tribal tattoos and all that jazz." This is probably true, just because it makes sense. Momoa look pretty similar to that description, although this could just be a fake rumor too, so be weary. They also said "Aquaman sent the whales to save Supes and make sure he was okay, which makes sense considering we never actually see how Supes gets back to shore in the film. He sees the whales and then it cuts to him walking on land, which could mean they were saving the swim back for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." This seems like more of a stretch then the other rumor. It could be an easy way of tying 'Man of Steel' to 'Batman v Superman', but it just seems a bit too far-fetched. Stay tuned for more updates on 'Batman v Superman'. |
