![]() Patrick Wilson, best known for his roles in Insidious 1 and 2 and Watchmen, has been confirmed by many sites to have snagged a role in Marvel's upcoming 'Ant-Man' film. If he were to sign, he would join Michael Douglas, Paul Rudd, Michael Pena and potentially Evangeline Lilly (who has issues signing on for sequels). No word on what character he will play. The word around his casting is as follows: "It’s not immediately clear which side Wilson’s character will be on, though Marvel has been searching for another charismatic leading man, a description that fits Wilson." My hope is he is the young 1960's version of Hank Pym, but it also seems like he could play a villain. Good casting by Marvel.

![]() Next month, ABC will be airing a one-hour special about the behind-the-scenes for Cinematic Universe. The special will be a “front row seat to the inception of Marvel Studios, the record-breaking films, the cultural phenomenon, and further expansion of the universe by Marvel Television,” and is also set to debut new footage from The Avengers sequel. Along with that footage, there will be new footage from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is not specified what it means for AoS that week, but it doesn't matter if they are replacing for the week with tons of new footage from their upcoming projects. How do you feel about this event? ![]() Fast and Furious 7 will start production back up in April. Seeing as how only half the film was done, the creative minds at the helm of this project needed some time to figure out how to retire Brian O'Connor with the footage they had of Paul Walker. Some rumors have them using Paul Walker's younger brother as a double for some of the scenes. Whatever they do, they are sure to have enough to work some editing magic in order to do the film and character justice. It is said that the rest of the film will be shot in Atlanta. Fast and Furious 7 will come out April 10, 2015. ![]() A producer on the film announced today that we would get our first trailer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to debut with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It seems like a very bad idea to release a trailer less than 4 months from release, especially for a film with a really bad public perception of it already. I guess we will find out what to think of this film on April 4th. Ok-Cool Beans folks! the new "Ninja Turtles" Teaser will make it's debut in front of the New Captain America Movie - April 4th. We are ready and prepared for lift off! Been a long haul." ![]() Most of us know Adam Driver for the HBO show "Girls" or the Batman Vs. Superman rumors. It seems his star is on the rise as Disney/Lucasfilm are allegedly very close to signing him to play the lead villain in Star Wars: Episode VII. The character is described as "being in the vein of Darth Vader". It is possible that this is the reason he turned down Batman Vs Superman, but who knows? How do you feel about this news? ![]() In a not to surprising move, Sony has announced that Marc Webb will be back to direct 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3'. This is not shocking when you think about the universe that Webb is trying to create. It is his baby and he doesn't want any to ruin it. The third Spider-Man flick is set to come out June 2016. ![]() In a non-surprising move, 'We're the Millers' will get a sequel. Not surprising considering the film made $270 million on a $37 million budget. While it hasn't been announced yet, the original cast (Jason Sudekis, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, and Will Poulter) are expected to return, as is director Rawson Marshall Thurber. The first draft will be written by Adam Sztykiel who is most famous for Due Date. Another writer is expected to come on board at some point. Not sure what more they could do with this story. It will be interesting to see if it winds up a rehash of the original or a brand new idea. ![]() First off, take all of this with a grain of salt. MarketSaw (the people who broke the news of Episode VII's production), have come back with the news that Benedict Cumberbatch and Gary Oldman have been cast in Star Wars Episode VII. The interesting piece of info is that they both tested for the same part, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out as in whether they will be the same character or two different characters. Also stated is besides the 'Big Three', Billy Dee Williams (Lando), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Warwick Davies (Wicket) have all signed for the film. Also noted is Harrison Ford potentially has two Indiana Jones features on his contract as a clause for the film. One more interesting bit is a brief summary from one of the early scripts. Ultimately it's about twins, and which will take a path towards darkness and which will follow in their father's footsteps, or at least that is what it used to be, that may come later as I think changes are being undertaken to bring the original cast into the forefront of the story leading to ramifications that lead up to the next generation of Skywalkers." ![]() Amanda Seyfried will be the female lead in 'Ted 2', which is expected to start filming this summer. There must've been something Seth McFarlane liked when they were filming 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'. I'm not sure what this could mean for Mila Kunis' character. Either way, I will definitely be seeing this film. ![]() It has been a while since we have heard anything on the Batman Vs. Superman front. Today, LatinReview's Elmayimbe has reported that Zack Snyder is looking for an athletic, black man in his 20s for a cameo in Batman Vs Superman. This character will appear a few other times in the DC Cinematic Universe. It is not known what the role is, but John Stewart and Cyborg seem like the most likely additions. I'd be willing to put money on Cyborg considering they have been filming football games and just recently in Justice League: War, Vic Stone was presented as a high school football player before his accident. In other news, it was reported that Michael B. Jordan met with Zack Snyder for the part. This is big news considering Zack Snyder only meets with people he deems worthy. It will be interesting to see what happens here. ![]() Love it or not, Anchorman 2 is back for more. Last night on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell announced that Anchorman 2 will be rereleased in theaters with almost entirely new jokes. It will be interesting to see how this goes and whether the jokes are actually good or weren't in the original for a reason. In the meantime here is a trailer for the R-Rated version. 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' releases again February 28, 2014 for a week run. If it is successful, it will probably get an extended run.
![]() The sequel to 'The Lego Movie' will be released on May 26, 2017. That is a while away. Warner Bros announced today that the film has grossed over $200 million worldwide so far and that number is bound to grow. Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan are writing the script, and it is not known if the directors or original cast will return for the sequel. The marketing machine that is Disney has started up their marketing push for Guardians of the Galaxy. Already since the trailer has premiered we have had screenshots, featurettes, and interviews with the director. Now we have our first poster for the film.
We have our first official image of Dane DeHaan as the Green Goblin. It is an interesting look considering he is not green, nor very goblin-like. What is interesting about the picture, though, is the location. This looks like it is in the clock tower we have seen a lot of. This could put even more fuel on the fire regarding Gwen Stacy's potential death in the film. We will just have to wait and see.
We have our first official audio of Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. It is different from what I though, although that is not a sound judgement as the audio is very brief. Also we have getting to know the Guardians of the Galaxy videos for the four other characters. ![]() The new word on the street surrounding the Fantastic Four reboot is that they have offers out on the table. Besides Michael B. Jordan as Human Torch and Miles Teller offered the role of Reed Richards, it seems that Kate Mara and Jaime Bell have been offered the roles of Sue Storm and Ben Grimm. Inspired casting to say the least. If this is the cast, I would say it is one solid cast, although that may not help a movie that has been rewritten a bunch. If this is the cast I am happy and have hope for this movie. One other thing worth noting is that Kate Mara may actually have the role of Sue Storm for sure. Here is a very suspicious tweet from her. ![]() It has been rumored by film blogger Mark Hughes that we will see the new Batman suit as soon as next month. He had said originally that it would be released any day now, but he cited the production delay as the reason for delay in picture. I, for one, am excited. We have heard so much about this suit for everyone. It seems like the only people that haven't seen it are the fans. I'd say we see it any day, especially considering Marvel just dropped a trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy. The ball is now in DC's court. ![]() We will be seeing Kevin Hart and Ice Cube team up again very soon. It was recently announced that Ride Along will be getting a sequel, with both stars returning. It will also return the same director and writers as the first. It is not surprising news, considering it broke $100 million at the box office. What do you think of this news? ![]() Jai Courtney has been cast as Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis. He joins Jason Clarke as John Conner and Emilia Clarke as Sara Connor. It seems with the ages of the actors, we will be getting a lot of time travel. Not much is known about the plot, but let's hope it is decent. It's off to a good start with the castings so far. We finally have the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer! Based on this trailer I am excited!
