First off, take all of this with a grain of salt.
MarketSaw (the people who broke the news of Episode VII's production), have come back with the news that Benedict Cumberbatch and Gary Oldman have been cast in Star Wars Episode VII. The interesting piece of info is that they both tested for the same part, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out as in whether they will be the same character or two different characters. Also stated is besides the 'Big Three', Billy Dee Williams (Lando), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Warwick Davies (Wicket) have all signed for the film. Also noted is Harrison Ford potentially has two Indiana Jones features on his contract as a clause for the film. One more interesting bit is a brief summary from one of the early scripts.

Ultimately it's about twins, and which will take a path towards darkness and which will follow in their father's footsteps, or at least that is what it used to be, that may come later as I think changes are being undertaken to bring the original cast into the forefront of the story leading to ramifications that lead up to the next generation of Skywalkers."
