After the success of 'Guardians of the Galaxy', it seems like studios are becoming a little more willing to develop the lesser known aspects of comic book lore. Deadpool is finally getting a movie (albeit with the help of that fantastic leaked footage!). But it seems that Warner Bros is finally starting to take some serious steps towards making a Suicide Squad movie (which was probably helped by the overwhelmingly positive response to 'Assault on Arkham' and the appearance on 'Arrow). WB is eyeing David Ayer (Fury, End of Watch) to helm a "dark and edgy" live-action adaptation of the team. I haven't seen any of Ayer's films, but it seems like he is a very good choice based on the movies he has made. Hopefully they include Harley Quinn and maybe even Deathstroke with a team that will most likely include Deadshot, King Shark, and Amanda Waller. Dan Lin will produce from a script by Justin Marks. What do you think of this news?
