As we all know, Disney is planning to reboot the Star Wars franchise, potentially spawning two new trilogies and numerous spin-off movies. One of the spin-off movies in the works is one about fan favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. A new rumor has Lawrence Kasdan as the man developing the new movie and it seems he wants to make some drastic changes to the character. His pitch reportedly involves killing off the original Fett very quickly, with a new person taking his armor, weapons, and name. It is a weird way to keep a character "alive", per se. As always, take this rumor with a grain of salt. If it's true how do you feel about this?
Update: It seems that a potential Boba Fett spin-off movie may not be on the table. In a quote from Kathleen Kennedy, she says that they are not attempting to carry characters from standalone films in and out of the saga episodes. I have no idea what this might me mean for the rumored Han Solo origin film, but it doesn't sound good for hopeful fans of both.
Here's what Mrs. Kennedy had to say.

“George [Lucas] was so clear as to how that works. The canon that he created was the Star Wars saga. Right now, episode seven falls within that canon. The spin-off movies, or we may come up with some other way to call those films, they exist within that vast universe that he created.
“There is no attempt being made to carry characters (from the standalone films) in and out of the saga episodes. Consequently, from the creative standpoint, it’s a roadmap that George made pretty clear.”
