After apparently missing out on Doctor Strange, Jared Leto now has his eyes set on another iconic comic book character. According to The Wrap, Leto is currently looking at playing The Joker in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. The Wrap also said that this was the role Ryan Gosling was up for, but he didn't sign due to an willingness to have a multi-picture contract. The original script is said to not have featured The Joker, but Ayer is rewriting it to feature The Clown Prince of Crime. Tom Hardy, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie are also still in talks to star. The Hollywood Reporter also had some interesting quotes from Leto himself. "I do [have my eye on one project.] I am excited about what's happening," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "There are incredible opportunities and I'm very grateful for them. I'm looking forward to making films again now that the tour is wrapping up. It's going to be an exciting 2015." He didn't drop any details about the project, but that is expected. "I've sworn to keep my mouth shut but I think that very shortly there will be something to talk about, that's for sure." The actor clearly didn't say much, but he obviously has a big project that he is excited for. What do you think of Leto as The Joker?
