Recently, there has been a lot of discussion on whether or not to move the Super Bowl to another day this weekend. Saturday seems to be the day the would move it to. This is ridiculous. Just because there is some less than ideal weather doesn't mean they should move the Super Bowl. It just adds to the challenge of the game. If it is like they Detroit vs Philadelphia game a few weeks ago, then yes they should move it. However, if it is just snow on the ground some a bit of wind, it should stay on Sunday. A little bit of snow won't hurt anyone. To me if there is snow, it will make the game a lot more fun to watch. Also, who's to say there won't be snow on Saturday, Friday, or Monday. It could come any one of those days. Meteorologists aren't exactly the most reliable source of weather info. It will most likely cost the NFL and the fanbase a lot of money to move the game to Saturday. It would most likely pay in viewer, with it being a Saturday night and people being out, but also the fan backlash will not be good. People have already planned this trip and a hiccup like this could make the plans fall apart. I didn't mean to make this sound like a huge deal. It isn't. It is just dumb. This could've been avoided had they decided to put the Super Bowl in a warm state or a dome (I'll put up an article about this soon). One last thing. The NFL plays on Sunday. That is where the Super Bowl belongs. Anywhere else just doesn't feel right.
What do you think? Should the Super Bowl be played some other day this weekend?
In the meantime, look out for my Super Bowl Prediction and Where to Play the Super Bowl articles. They should be up Wednesday at the latest.
