The Windy City really showed up to support their players. P Chris Sale (Chicago White Sox), 6.7 million votes, and 1B Anthony Rizzo (Chicago Cubs), 8.8 million votes, have won the Final Vote for the All-Star game. For me, these were the biggest snubs. It is great to see them get what they earned. As for the final Home Run Derby participants, well that was a bit more disappointing. Athletics 3B Josh Donaldson has won the last spot for the AL Squad. Donaldson has 20 round-trippers on the season, but I have never really thought of this guy as a guy with jaw-dropping power. The same goes for Colorado Rockies 1B Justin Morneau, who has 13 homers on the season. Still, there is usually a big surprise at the Derby every year. 2008 with Josh Hamilton's monster 1st round and Yoenis Cespedes winning last year. Congrats to the members of the team.
